It's hard to believe how fast the months are flying by! Please take a look to see what we are working on next. Language Arts We finished a Limerick Poem and a Concrete Poem. A Concrete poem is sometimes known as a Shape poem. The words are written or typed to represent the topic of the poem. We have begun a Bio Poem which gives information to the reader about the author. We continue to work on Spelling, Reading and Writing in class. Soon we will begin an Expository writing (non-fiction) unit. Math Our unit on Measurement is wrapping up and we will have a test soon. I will send home practice questions to help your child study for this test. It will include the answers so that you can ensure that your child is understanding the concepts in the unit. The next unit for Grades 4 and 5 will be on Fractions and Decimals; converting, adding, subtracting and multiplying. Science The unit we are currently working on is Chemistry.
